General Objectives:
This position will work closely with all technical departments, finance and operations on grant development, management and compliance to donor regulations. The individual will ensure all proposal development, reports, work plans and deadlines are followed up accordingly.
Objective 1: Reporting
Activities:
  • Coordinate timelines for and review donor reports as per the required donor format.
  • Review, compile, provide feedback on, and finalize draft donor reports, editing for format, grammar, and content.
  • When assigned, take responsibility for initial report drafting.
  • Build the capacity of field staff to write and incorporate feedback on donor reports.
  • Manage final report review as requested
Objective 2: Proposal Development
Activities:
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of ACF internal policies and proposal guidelines for donor organizations funding Pakistan programs/projects.
  • Develop ACF Pakistan concept notes and proposals, abiding by the guidelines set out by the donor and by Pakistan internal policies. This will involve developing proposal documents including budget narrative, narrative, monitoring and evaluation documents, and other documents as necessary.
  • Coordinate with staff from other ACF Pakistan departments (technical sectors, finance, and field staff) to compile relevant information and documents to support proposal development.
Objective 3: Grant Management & Monitoring
Activities:
  • Identify and communicate to program quality monitoring staff and technical teams gaps in reporting/data collection.
  • Support program quality monitoring staff in conceptualizing and facilitating implementation of program quality tools developed.
  • Support grant opening, review, and closing meetings, including attendance at meetings when possible.
  • Travel to the field sites as needed to support program reporting/grants management.
Objective 4: Research and Program Design
Activities:
  • Assist ACF program technical sectors to develop holistic, long-term program plans beyond project-based planning.
  • Facilitate ACF technical sectors to develop project plans, logical frameworks, and implementation timelines for current and future ACF projects.
  • Upon request, assist with research on funding opportunities, and potential donors, partners, and their strategies.
  • Research and collect data to inform program design and proposal development.
Objective : Communications
Activities:
  • Upon request, draft communication materials, case studies, success stories for the ACF websites and external media.

  • Non-governmental partners : exchange of information, coordination, training, supervision, influence on choice of technical options
  • Government Authorities; representation
REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Weekly Situation Report (WSR) - Weekly to CD or DCD (if CD is absent)
  • Donor reports, proposals and work plans - As required by Donors to CD, Tech Referents
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
  • Fluent in English
  • English writing skills mandatory and demonstration requested
  • One to two years’ experience in an international NGO
  • Higher degree in relevant field
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of institutional donors and compliance regulations
  • Self-motivated
PREFERRED
  • Good diplomatic and negotiation skills
  • Disciplined and able to work and arrive at decisions autonomously and with minimal guidance.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Creative, innovative and a self-starter.
